Accessibility is a key quality standard in tourism. It enables more people to use services independently, opens up new target groups, and enhances the overall guest experience.
Together with the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (Wirtschaftskammer Wien) and the City of Vienna, the Vienna Tourist Board supports businesses in removing barriers and making their services more accessible and inclusive. This work is part of the Accessibility Action Program within the Visitor Economy Strategy. The shared goal is to make Vienna a destination that welcomes as many people as possible. Vienna For All!
Inclusion is a key factor for Vienna’s success as a tourism destination. True quality lies in making participation feel natural, effortless, and open to everyone. By taking a clear leadership role, Vienna is embedding accessibility for the long term and strengthening its position as an open, inclusive destination fit for the future.
The Toolbox is organized into thematic modules that reflect the key touchpoints guests encounter throughout their stay. Each module includes concise downloadable checklists that provide a quick overview and practical guidance on the most important points to consider.
