Post-Vienna-Blues

Post-Vienna blues, or PVB for short, is a psychological phenomenon that can occur following a trip to Vienna. Those affected often suffer from a profound feeling of melancholy, nostalgic daydreams and emotional restlessness after returning from Vienna. This is caused by the overwhelming opulence, rich culture and beauty as well as the charm of the city, which form a stark contrast to the usual routine of everyday life.

The Vienna Tourist Board has launched a bold new campaign to draw attention to the fact that a visit to Vienna with the hashtag#Vienna can lead to the ‘post-Vienna blues’. Inspired by the vibrant world of pharmacy advertising, the campaign featured eye-catching images and warning symbols depicting a person completely mesmerised by the opulence of Vienna.
