Itinerary - Luxury in Vienna: Enjoy and Discover in Exclusive Style
This itinerary is also available in the following languages:
Deutsch Italiano Français Español
Day 1 morning:
For passengers and frequent fliers with sophisticated requirements, Vienna Airport offers comfortable and straightforward arrivals and departures away from the usual crowds with the VIP service provided at the VIP terminal.
They are just as much a part of Vienna as St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Giant Ferris Wheel: the fiakers. For many tourists, a ride with the two-horse carriage is one of the highlights. There is almost no cozier way to explore Vienna’s attractions.
Lunch
Lunch in the city centre: Restaurant located at the museum Albertina (you can have a shared dining experience and try a great variety of Mediterranean dishes from the menu), Brasserie Palmenhaus or Do & Co Stephansplatz.
Day 1 afternoon:
The Vienna State Opera is one of the most significant opera houses in the world. A peek behind the scenes of the Vienna State Opera, the world’s biggest repertory theater, reveals lots of things that are otherwise hidden from evening opera-goers.
Option B: Cooking and baking classes
Viennese cuisine is seasoned with the ingredients of the imperial and royal monarchy and sweetened with the famous Viennese pastries and cakes. The best way to become familiar with Viennese cuisine is to learn how to prepare it yourself.
Private tour through the Belvedere with exclusive concert
The Belvedere is not only a magnificent Baroque palace but also houses one of Austria's most valuable art collections – with key works by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka. The heart of the Belvedere collection is formed by the 24 paintings of Gustav Klimt with his golden images "The Kiss".
Dinner
The city's offering of first-class dining ranges from Viennese to international cuisine.
Still the best restaurant in Vienna is Steirereck at Stadtpark: 3 Michelin stars, 5 Gault-Millau toques and in 33rd place in the "World's 50 Best Restaurants". Heinz Reitbauer presents the very best in contemporary Austrian cuisine - using local products.
Modern and innovative cuisine by the Mraz family in an unpretentious setting – awarded two stars by the Michelin Guide. A total work of art in an informal and yet elegant atmosphere, if you will, with a wonderful outdoor dining area.
Day 2 morning:
Walking Tour “1000 reasons to love Vienna” with Artissimi
This walking tour through the city takes you to former purveyors to the court. These shops, where the splendor of the Austrian monarchy has survived to this day, are still very much alive. A good example of this is the shop of the former purveyor to the court, Wilhelm Jungmann & Neffe, whose beautiful textiles await the royal family today, just as they did centuries ago. Or the world-famous jeweler A. E. Köchert, which is run and managed by the sixth generation of the Köchert family. One of the most exclusive tours: And because it is about artissimi, we are of course also invited to take a look behind the scenes.
Lunch
Lunch either at Tian Restaurant Wien, a vegetarian restaurant in a class of its own. Chef Paul Ivic has cooked his way to four toques and a Michelin star with his creative dishes in the meat-free gourmet temple. Or at Clementine im Glashaus, the restaurant at Palais Coburg with european and mediterranean kitchen.
Day 2 afternoon:
Option A: Visit the wine cellar of the Palais Coburg
Wine has had a long tradition in Vienna. This is reflected not only by the numerous heurige but also several beautiful, old wine cellars. These are drawing in visitors with special offers and guided tours.
Option B: Luxurious shopping experience at Goldenes Quartier in a historic ambiance
The new luxury shopping area in Vienna’s Old City offers exclusive flagship stores of Louis Vuitton, Emporio Armani, Miu Miu, Prada and Saint Laurent. Home accessories and beautiful gifts can be found at Leiderleitner Home.
Option C: Shopping with Lucie
A new generation of Austrian designers is breathing new life into the Vienna fashion scene and drawing international attention to the process. Discover the best Austrian designers off the beaten path and other hidden treasures!
Enjoy a concert at the Musikverein or at Vienna State Opera
The Musikverein is Vienna's most famous center for classical music. Going to a concert here is about getting to know Vienna as a city of music in a setting of the very finest quality. And musical greats such as the Vienna Philharmonic.
The Vienna State Opera is one of the leading establishments for opera in the world. Internationally renowned performers and directors enjoy presenting their art here.
Dinner
After the concert we recommend dinner in the restaurant "Rote Bar" at Hotel Sacher.
Day 3 morning:
Option A: Dance class
Vienna is the world’s capital of music. One of its most sought-after “export goods” is the Viennese Waltz, the dance in three quarter time that waltz king Johann Strauss triumphantly took across the globe. Being able to dance a waltz is a skill that everybody should master before going to a ball in Vienna. Take a class at Tanzschule Hernals - Grossmann, at Tanzschule Elmayer or at Tanzschule Rueff.
Option B: Vienna Gold Workshop
Gold is more than a metal. Gold is history, art, religion—and gold is love. Gold’s enigmatic qualities and its unique value have always captured people’s imaginations. Starting with Gustav Klimt’s Kiss we peer over the artist’s shoulder and find out how the masterpieces from his Golden Period were created. This is followed by working with this iconic metal in the studio and embellishing a unique souvenir with delicate gold leaf. A hands-on workshop for all those who like to try something new and wish to combine looking at art with their own creativity.
Lunch
Lunch either at restaurant Zum Schwarzen Kameel, Vienna's oldest trendy restaurant, or at Meierei im Stadtpark.
Day 3 afternoon:
It´s a kind of magic: Vienna´s Christmas markets
The Advent season in Vienna is a truly magical experience. From mid-November onwards, the city’s most beautiful squares, streets, and parks transform into enchanting Christmas markets, each radiating its own unique charm. Visitors can discover a wealth of delights - from delicious culinary specialties to exquisite handcrafted gifts. The historic city center and shopping streets glow with festive lights, immersing Vienna in a captivating Christmas atmosphere.
Dinner
Enjoy an evening at the real Viennese “Heurige” or wine taverns - Weinbau Kierlinger or Mayer am Pfarrplatz - or experience an exclusive dinner at the historic Giant Ferris Wheel, taking in the stunning views of the city from 64.75 meters above ground as Vienna's trademark Riesenrad revolves at a pedestrian 2.7 km/h.
