Itinerario - 3 días en Viena para quienes la visitan por primera vez

Día 1 mañana: 

El Palacio Imperial de Viena es uno de los complejos palaciegos más grandes del mundo. Sus secciones más antiguas datan del siglo XIII. El Tesoro Imperial más importante del mundo está en el Hofburg de Viena, y en él se conservan dos coronas imperiales, además del tesoro de los burgundios y el de la Orden del Tesón de Oro.

La Escuela Española de Equitación ofrece espectáculos de equitación del más alto nivel competitivo con sus mundialmente famosos caballos lipizzanos, todo ello en el entorno barroco del Palacio Imperial.

Día 1 tarde: 

La Catedral de San Esteban (Stephansdom) es el símbolo de Viena. En el S. XII se comenzó a edificar. Hoy en día es el edificio gótico más significativo de Austria. Se ofrecen visitas guiadas regularmente por la catedral y las catacumbas, también hay visitas para niños. 

Superficies multicolores, formas irregulares, a menudo cubiertas de plantas exuberantes: esta fue la forma del pintor Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000) de dar nuevos impulsos a la arquitectura de Viena aunque también creó un centro de exposiciones que contiene tanto una muestra permanente de sus propias obras como exposiciones temporales con emocionante arte contemporáneo.

Los conciertos de las iglesias vienesas incluyen obras religiosas como el Réquiem de Mozart, pero también hay programas puramente seculares, como Las cuatro estaciones de Vivaldi u otras obras adaptadas. Los conciertos de iglesia son un placer especialmente en verano, ya que en estos monumentos arquitectónicos reina una atmósfera fresca y agradable.

Día 2 mañana: 

La antigua residencia de verano de los Habsburgo destaca con sus esplendorosas estancias imperiales, un fantástico jardín y una experiencia de realidad virtual de 24 minutos, la cual destaca por su complejidad técnica,  permite a los visitantes del palacio conocer su historia y saber más acerca de la vida cotidiana de la monarquía, en 360º y con unas gafas virtuales. Una variopinta mezcla de animaciones con escenificaciones en 3D hechas con actores informa sobre la construcción del edificio y la historia de los Habsburgo.

¡Visite el zoo número 1 de Europa! - Por sexta vez consecutiva, en enero de 2022, el experto británico en zoológicos Anthony Sheridan nombró el zoo de Schönbrunn el mejor de Europa.

Día 2 tarde: 

El MuseumsQuartier de Viena (MQ) es uno de los mayores recintos culturales del mundo. En las afueras del centro de la ciudad, en las antiguas caballerizas de la corte imperial, se unen instalaciones de diferentes disciplinas artísticas, restaurantes, cafés y tiendas en una combinación posmodernista de edificios barrocos con arquitectura moderna en una superficie de 60.000 m².


En el MuseumsQuartier se encuentra también el Museo Leopold, tesoro único del modernismo vienés, de las Wiener Werkstätte y del expresionismo.

Para guardar las extensas colecciones de la Casa Imperial, se construyó cerca del Palacio Imperial, el Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museo de Historia del Arte). Con su colección de obras importantes y la colección de Bruegel más grande del mundo figura hoy entre las colecciones de arte más destacadas del mundo.

El Musikverein es el centro más afamado del Clasicismo. Presenciar un concierto en este lugar significa conocer Viena, la ciudad de la música, en todo su esplendor. También a los grandes de la música, como la Filarmónica de Viena.

Día 3 mañana: 

Parque de atracciones para muchos, un lugar de sueños nostálgicos para algunos, un oasis verde para casi todo el mundo; y también es donde se encuentra la Noria, uno de los emblemas de las más famosos de Viena. Eso es el Prater de Viena.

252 metros de altura, dos ascensores de alta velocidad, 35 segundos de trayecto: desde la terraza y mirador de la Torre del Danubio, a una altura de 155 metros, se puede disfrutar de la mejor vista sobre Viena y el Danubio.

Almuerzo típico en el Schweizerhaus en el Prater o en el Gasthaus Brösl.

Día 3 tarde: 

Echando una mirada entre los bastidores de la Ópera Nacional de Viena, que cuenta con el mayor repertorio del mundo, se puede descubrir mucho de lo que pocas veces pueden ver los visitantes nocturnos de la ópera. Una visita guiada aportará valiosos conocimientos sobre la historia de la casa, su arquitectura y el funcionamiento de la ópera.

Seguido de: Tres plantas de deleite es lo que nos ofrece la Confitería Imperial y Real Gerstner, con tienda, bar y café restaurante en el espléndido Palais Todesco, cerca de la Ópera Nacional de Viena.

El Belvedere no es tan solo un esplendoroso palacio barroco, sino que además alberga una de las colecciones artísticas de mayor valor de toda Austria, con las principales obras de Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele y Oskar Kokoschka. El corazón de la colección del Belvedere está formado por 24 pinturas de Gustav Klimt, entre las que se encuentran las imágenes doradas de El beso y Judith.

Cena en el Fuhrgassl-Huber Winery, un Heuriger (taberna típica vienesa) muy acogedor en la tradicional localidad vinícola vienesa Neustift am Walde, o en el restaurante Wrenkh, especializado en deliciosos platos sin carne.
