C’est à cet endroit même de Vienne, où Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart a passé les dernières années de sa vie et composé La Flûte enchantée et le Requiem, que le programme audiovisuel et multimédia Mozart Experience ouvrira ses portes en 2022. S’étendant sur 1 500 mètres carrés, il sera une invitation à se plonger dans l’univers de Mozart. Les visiteurs pourront y découvrir la musique, la vie et l’œuvre de Mozart par le biais de scènographies acoustiques, spatiales et médiatiques.

Autour du Brunnenmarkt, à Ottakring dans le 16e arrondissement, un quartier coloré en pleine expansion s'est développé. Le marché respire le charme méditerranéen. Certains bars et restaurants de la Yppenplatz comptent parmi les établissements les plus intéressants de Vienne: Restaurant Mani, Restaurant Wetter o Restaurant Dolce Lago.

Alors que le Belvédère supérieur servait de lieu d’apparat, le Belvédère inférieur était la résidence du prince Eugène. L’opulence aristocratique du maître d’ouvrage est visible dans la salle des grotesques, la galerie de marbre et le cabinet doré. Le Belvédère inférieur et l’Orangerie accueilent des expositions temporaires. Les écuries, abritant autrefois les destriers du prince, hébergent aujourd’hui des œuvres d’art médiévales.

Vienne compte un nouveau musée d’art moderne et contemporain. Et quel musée: l’Albertina modern investit les quelque 2500 m² du Künstlerhaus transformé en dépendance de la célébrissime Albertina. Principales collections d’art autrichien après 1945, la collection Essl et la collection Jablonka constituent la base de ce nouveau temple de l’art. Ici vous attend un musée des superlatifs.
Sa collection d’œuvres majeures et sa collection de Bruegel la plus vaste au monde font du Kunsthistorisches Museum l’un des musées d’art les plus importants au monde. Son Cabinet d’Art et de Curiosités renferme certains des objets les plus précieux qui soient.
