Description of Competition: Vienna Card

The game starts on April 1st and ends at March 31st of the following year. By sending the completely filled out Vienna Card questionnaire and upon agreement to participate in the game (including the duly completed online competition registration form), the participant confirms to have read the participation conditions and agrees to the aforementioned terms without any restrictions. The closing date for the participation in the competition is on March 31st at midnight (24:00) CET of the following year. All duly filled out online game registration forms to this date will participate in the final draw. The final draw will take place in the following month after the closing date. The prize is a luxury weekend in Vienna for two persons: flights to Vienna, two overnight stays in a double room of a luxury hotel, airport shuttle and candlelight dinner. In addition to this draw, non-cash prizes will be raffled among the other participants.  Further details are provided in the coupon booklet of the Vienna Card.

Only participants with a valid Vienna Card Number can join the game. Participants are only entitled to play once.

 

General Participation Terms 

What may I win?

The prize is outlined in the respective game description. The prizes cannot be exchanged or redeemed in cash. The prizes cannot be transferred to third parties. In case of services (e.g. bookings of hotel rooms, flight tickets, etc.), the date/period of time of use depends on the availability of the corresponding service. The prize shall be consumed within one year otherwise it expires.

Start and End of the Game

The start and the end of the competition as well as the date of the draw is stated in the corresponding game description.

Who may participate?

Only natural persons, who are over 18 years old, are eligible. Employees of Vienna Tourism as well as their relatives are excluded from the competition. The participation through a gaming association or automated services is prohibited.

How are the winners selected?

If not performed in another manner, the winners are selected by chance. All exceptions are stated and disclosed in the game description (for instance: selection of winner by a jury, etc.). Multiple winnings by one participant are excluded. In case a winner omits to report his win within 30 days after his notification, the prize and the claim of the prize expire without compensation. There is no obligation to accept the prize.

How are the winners notified?

The winners are notified via email immediately after the draw using the email address stated by the participant. The prize is sent by mail or alternatively via email.

What happens with my data?

We need your personal data in the course of the competition. Your personal data are collected, saved and used exclusively for the purpose of the competition and can be transferred to third parties. In case you are winning, your photo as well as your name might be published (in several online and offline channels, such as our website, Facebook or magazines). By participating in our competition, you agree to our data protection terms.

What happens in case of an invalid term of the participation conditions?

In this case the remaining terms are still valid and are not affected. A new, appropriate term corresponding to the initial purpose of the invalid term, will replace the old one.

Which Laws apply?

The competition is exclusively subject to Austrian Law. Place of performance and court of jurisdiction is Vienna. The application of UN Sales Laws as well as referring international law rules is excluded.

Legal Recourse and Liability

Any legal recourse shall be excluded. There shall be no enforceable claim to win the prize. The event organizer shall not be responsible in any form for direct or indirect damages resulting from the participation in the competition, draw or non-availability of the Internet server, provided that these damages are not caused by the event organizer, his legal representatives, employees or subcontractors due to grossly negligence or wilful intent. Moreover, the event organizer shall not be liable for any data loss, in particular during data transfer and other technical defects, influencing the final result of the competition or the participation in the game.
