Vienna Showcase at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna

When Vienna's tourism director Norbert Kettner launched a new digital format of the Vienna Tourist Board around the world at the beginning of October 2020 with "Vienna Showcase", 150 journalists and representatives of the travel industry – from the USA to the European markets and India – tuned in online. Finally, there was lots to see on a live guided tour by co-curator Jasper Sharp through the exhibition "Beethoven moves", which the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna is showing to mark the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven. Tourism director Norbert Kettner and Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna director general Sabine Haag welcomed the virtual guests. Many of the participants had had to forgo their on-site research into the anniversary year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They were all the more surprised to discover that cultural life in Vienna was still pulsing despite the difficult circumstances.
