ImPulsTanz has become one of the world’s leading contemporary dance festivals since it was founded in 1984, and now attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year. Each summer, thousands of professional dancers, choreographers, teachers and dance fans from all over the world come to Vienna for inspiration, to compare notes and to take their experimental research to the next level. More than 100,000 people attend the festival each year, which comprises around 100 performances at venues throughout the city.

Around 200 workshops and research projects will see beginners and pros alike flock to the Arsenal studios in the third district. A series of exhibitions, installations, book presentations and discussions provides an insight into the world of dance. Evening entertainment throughout the festival includes concerts and parties.
