From the city center to the Romans – new HOP ON HOP OFF ‘Grey Line’

Walk in the footsteps of the Romans in the Roman City Quarter Petronell-Carnuntum or in the Museum Carnuntinum of the Roman city Carnuntum and visit the Palace Schloss Hof, Austria's largest country palace complex.

The new HOP ON HOP OFF route takes you on a journey through time from the Roman to the Baroque period and up to the present time. It takes you from Vienna to the Roman City Quarter Petronell-Carnuntum – here you can discover how the Romans lives their daily lives in a reconstructed town quarter, showing a town house, a town villa, a thermal bath and a partial reconstruction with the only maintained floor mosaic of Carnuntum. It will take you on a journey to the 4th century B.C.

And don’t miss out an exciting visit to Palace Schloss Hof, Austria's largest rural palace complex. Explore the magnificent noble palace, the artistically laid out terraced gardens and the idyllic manor farm. Immediately after arrival, a shuttle bus takes you to Schloss Niederweiden, which is located only 5 minutes away.

Please note: The HOP ON HOP OFF Grey Line operates only from 19.3. – 27.11. The Grey Line ticket that is valid for 24 hours costs € 15 for people ages 12 and up, and € 9 for children between the ages of 3-12.
