Vienna Media News 03/2015 Vienna Philharmonic Summer Night Concert Schönbrunn

The Vienna Philharmonic Summer Night Concert Schönbrunn is one of the highlights of the Viennese concert calendar. The Vienna Philharmonic will treat visitors to the city and its residents to an unforgettable musical experience in the unique setting of Schönbrunn’s palace gardens this May. Once again, the 2015 edition of the free open-air concert has attracted a top conductor and world-class soloist. On May 14, 2015 Zubin Mehta will take up the baton, with Rudolf Buchbinder starring on piano.

The Summer Night Concert by the Vienna Philharmonic gets underway at 8.30pm and the gates open at 6pm. Since admission is free, it is not possible to make reservations. There is limited seating for around 1,500 people facing the stage in front of the Neptune fountain. In the event of bad weather the concert will be rescheduled.
