Vienna Media News 07/2012 Gucci chooses Vienna for photo shoot

In May Vienna Tourist Board Media Manager Angelika Grzebyta was tasked with looking after the Verve editorial team from Mumbai for the Gucci photo shoot. The Austrian capital was picked ahead of other candidate cities in Austria, including Innsbruck and Salzburg, as well as the capital of fashion itself, Milan.

Russian model Kristina Luskova showed off the new summer collection against selected Viennese backdrops for fashion photographer Norbert Kniat. The shoot took in internationally famous attractions such as the Albertina, Schönbrunn Palace, the Imperial Carriage Museum, the Giant Ferris Wheel and the roof of the Museum of Natural History, all under the watchful eye of Verve journalist Nisha Jhangiani and Maneka Thadani from Gucci Mumbai.

Verve, which has monthly sales of around 60,000 copies, will also publish a 14 page Vienna supplement in one of its upcoming issues to encourage fashion loving Indians and other potential visitors to travel to the Austrian capital.
