Website for visitors to ViennaBusses are Welcome...
For the sake of the buses behind you, please move on from stops as soon as your passengers have alighted. Use the stops only to pick up your passengers again, and not to wait for them. Violation of regulations in force is subject to police fines.
Buses parked in an obstructive manner may be either towed away or clamped without warning, e.g. if parked in boarding or alighting zones. If the vehicle is clamped, the bus driver is advised to contact the nearest police station. If the police fine is not paid immediately, a provisional payment of € 300 may be levied. If the bus has been towed away, the driver can contact department #48 of the Vienna City Administration (Magistratsabteilung 48), Tel. (01)76043 (twenty-four hour service). For the recovery of towed away vehicles (Car lot: 11, Jedletzberger Straße 1, Highway junction A4 / exit Simmeringer Haide) the bus driver is required to present passport and vehicle documents. If tow-away costs are not paid immediately, the owner of the vehicle will receive a payment demand.
