Gruene Mischung

It's not far from Naschmarkt to Gumpendorfer Strasse where a community of strictly non-mainstream new businesses has set up camp in recent years. One of the newest arrivals, Anukoo Fair Fashion, takes a holistic view of the fashions that line its racks. At Anukoo there's more to fashion than just finding the right fit - the clothing also has to come from the right places, which is why the store only carries textiles made from organic cotton that conforms to the internationally recognized Fairtrade Certified Cotton and Global Organic Textile Standard. The predominantly green interior of the store is full of t-shirts, skirts, pants and jackets sold under Anukoo's own label alongside eco-friendly fashions created by Vienna-based label Göttin des Glücks. A few blocks farther on in Hirschengasse is Grüne Mischung, a small boutique store  overflowing with quirky everyday items such as garden hoses and picnic sets designed to add a touch of color to the city's terraces, balconies and gardens.

In Kettenbrückengasse, at the end of the Naschmarkt farthest out from the city, Stattgarten offers selected natural cosmetics, perfumes and must-have accessories in an extensive range that has all the angles covered -  from eco-friendly to trendy. Just around the corner at Mein Design, up-and-coming creatives can rent space to present their collections for several months. This blueprint ensures an ever-changing line-up. Focuses are on fashion, interior textiles and jewelry.
