Director of Tourism Norbert Kettner

Norbert Kettner was born in 1967 and grew up in Tirol. He  has been the Vienna Tourist Board's Director since September 2007. Prior to his current position, from September 2003 he was founding managing director of departure wirtschaft, kunst und kultur gmbh, Austria's first business promotion agency  for the creative industries.

From August 1993 to August 2003, Norbert Kettner was press relations officer for Sepp Rieder,  then Executive City Councilor of Finance and Deputy Mayor of Vienna, working for him in the Vienna Health Department until 1999, when he moved with him to the finance and economics policy department.

From 1997 to 2007, Norbert Kettner was a member of the board of directors of the Life Ball, Europe's biggest AIDS charity event. He is now on the supervisory board of Stadt Wien Marketing GmbH, Vienna's event marketing agency, and a member of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Advisory Board of Modul University Vienna. He has been on the board of trustees of ORF, the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, since February 2010, and was appointed deputy supervisory board chairman of Kunsthalle Wien GmbH in March 2012.
